The project
Atelier Casasola was born from the desire of the stylist Barbara Casasola and her husband to get away from the frenzy of the big cities where they had lived until then and to seek an oasis of peace in Tuscany, in the historic center of Florence, the heart of the handicraft and textile. Decorative elements dating back to the 1600s have been brought to light on the ceilings and walls that enhance the representative rooms of the house that overlook the palace garden. The rear side of the house, on the other hand, houses the services, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, which have been completely renovated, to make it modern and usable at the same time.
Atelier Casasola is a restoration project of an apartment located in a historic building in the historic center of Florence where the Stylist Barbara Casasola, together with her family, has decided to move her life and her work away from the frenzy of big cities .
They also decided to move their fashion atelier into their home, and thanks to the renovation of the entire 220 m2 apartment, it was possible to recreate a suggestive and inspiring environment.
The intervention focused on the desire to respect the historicity of the building and its artistic value. For this reason, a careful restoration intervention was carried out on each element present: windows, doors, floors and wall facings.
